About the Position: Incumbent works for the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) that is comprised of the U.S. Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) encompassing the Directorate of Training - Doctrine (DOTD) under the general supervision of the Chief, Doctrine Literature Division (DLD). Serves as the Chief, Joint and Multinational Doctrine Branch (JMDB), for the DLD. Serves as the technical/administrative advisor and manager of the daily operations of the JMDB.
Duties
Serves as the technical/administrative advisor and manager of the daily operations counsel to the Joint and Multinational Doctrine Branch.
Maintains supervisory responsibility for doctrine developers and editorial assistants.
Provides support to the Army and various joint, multiservice, multinational, doctrinal forums, workgroups, and conferences.
Participates in formulating Army and Army Medicine goals and objectives to accomplish the Doctrine Literature Division mission.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; developing and publishing medical doctrine publications; assisting with maintaining responsibility for doctrine developers (technical writer) and editorial assistants; developing long-term project plans to include publication development milestone; providing support to the Army and various joint, multiservice, multinational doctrinal workgroups and conferences. Performing as the authority on technical writing, developing and publishing tactics, techniques, and procedures for medical related doctrine publications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
