The selectee for this position will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Financial Division of CNSL ACCOUNTING EAST.
Duties
The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Perform or advise on the processing and authorization of travel claims and approve travel vouchers in the Joint Travel Regulation Defense Travel System.
Utilize financial management systems i.e. (STARS-FL, GOVCC, and DTS operations) to identify, analyze and resolve budgetary problems.
Advise in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
Lead team or group of employees in communicating, coach and distribution of goals, objectives, project assignments and workload balance.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Experience applying Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Principles in order to process and certify travel authorizations vouchers in the Defense Travel System (DTS).
(2) Experience using financial management systems i.e. (STARS-FL, DTS Operations, GOVCC) to identify and resolve budgetary problems.
(3) Experience identifying financial problems and developing alternative solutions for programs in which funding requirements may have changed and or impact the commands financial planning.
(4) Ability to lead team in exploring alternatives and determine improvements processes, methods and procedures in order to improve performance management issues.
