You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the MAINTENANCE AND LIFECYCLE BRANCH of the GUNS DIVISION in the SYSTEMS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-3 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-9/GS-10. The full performance level is equivalent to the GS-11/12 level.
Duties
You will participate in the life cycle support of Naval Gun Weapon Systems for the DoD and Foreign Military customers.
You will assist with the development of logistics support plans, maintenance plans, and technical data packages.
You will provide logistic support for assigned equipment throughout the equipment's life cycle.
You will demonstrate knowledge of Commercial and Navy Logistics processes to support DoD weapon systems.
You will demonstrate knowledge of sustainment planning and integration of logistics support for equipment

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-2 pay band (GS-5/8 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing logistical support in the life cycle process of Weapon Systems to assist in the development and execution of technical manuals, data packages, and other general logistics documents for the support and efficiency of an organization or program.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
