The incumbent will be responsible for the advisory, planning, development, and execution of agency program operations, procedures, goals, and related missions. The Incumbent evaluates and uses analytical methods and techniques to facilitate the processes of management and the organization of work for the overall mission.

Duties

As a LESSONS LEARNED ANALYST at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the office of primary responsibility (OPR) for the management and implementation of the Chairman's Joint Lessons Learned Program (JLLP).'s work; Assist the Chairman's Title 10 U.S.C. responsibility of formulating policies for gathering, developing, and disseminating joint lessons learned for the armed forces enhancing joint force capabilities by enabling learning and collaboration from joint, interagency, and multinational activities. Prioritize and address a myriad of topics which can arise as a crisis or simultaneously across DoD from real world operations, pandemics, natural disasters, globally integrated exercises, globally integrated war games, and operational priority requests from the Joint Force Senior Leadership. Collaborates with various DoD organizations on lessons learned input to Joint Capability Development, Joint Force Development, Joint Individual/Staff Training, Joint Exercise Program, Chairman's Exercise Program, National Exercise Program, Joint Doctrine, Joint Education, and Joint Concept Development.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Planning and conducting advanced concepts and initiatives to determine their military worth and operational effectiveness for the Joint Lessons Learned Program (JLLP); Writing research and analytic documents with an emphasis on joint, whole-of-government, allied/coalition, and multi-service level issues to convey lessons learned and best practices to shape the current and future Joint Force; Applying analytical tools to interpret data sets, to include the identification of trends and patterns that could be of value in Joint Force Development and Design. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
