About the Position: Serve as an advisor to the Center, providing technical assistance to Program Managers, Project Managers, Program Analysts, Resource Managers, Project Delivery Team members and District Managers in implementing environmental projects and programs.
Duties
Track, distribute, and catalogue all technical documents submitted for review to the Environmental and Munitions Center of Expertise (EMCX) in support of specific environmental programs.
Collect program/project execution data from EM CX program/project managers.
Recommend cost effective means of collecting data and categorizing data to ensure proper application to future projects and to resolve existing administrative problems.
Assist the project manager in planning, coordinating, evaluating, and reviewing all phases of project control including the interpretation of and compliance with criteria, regulations, policies, and procedures, design and construction authorization.
Develop and maintain electronic databases.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting managers in the planning and developing of processes and procedures related to projects; assisting with managing the efficient and effective coordination of the planning, scheduling, and communicating status of assigned projects; and assisting in developing strategies in resolving complex problems and issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
