This Program Manager position is located in the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), Program Management Department of Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division and is established to support a major air weapons system acquisition program.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service
Duties
You will participate with key personnel in the program office and/or the PEO who are responsible for defining the goals of the program, and works with them in preparing comprehensive program plans for accomplishing program goals and schedules.
You will analyze all changes that have an impact on the acquisition and develops or directs development of responsive and effective changes in plans and strategies.
You will analyze needs and synthesizes requirements information to develop requirements for program initiatives and plans.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
(1) Applying a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage air weapon systems acquisition; (2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; (3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources for assigned program; (4) Demonstrated working knowledge of contract management, acquisition management and financial management to support assigned air weapons system program needs; (5) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and (6) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems by proposing options and alternatives.
