Duties
You will lead teams to evaluate shipbuilding processes and make recommendations for improvement and investment to enable increased shipbuilder production capacity.
You will evaluate shipbuilder production performance and conduct analyses to determine root causes and corrective actions impacting performance.
You will directly interface with industry counterparts to develop and implement critical shipbuilding program processes.
You will analyze and identify problems and develop/implement solutions to maximize efficiencies for funds execution and contract management to make key decisions regarding acquisition.
You will provide long range plans for the cost, performance, schedule of acquisition efforts within the scope of assigned areas as well as exercise significant judgment and experience to establish priorities.
You will lead studies, surveys, reviews, or research projects to evaluate program accomplishments, effectiveness, or compliance with meeting specific goals, objectives, rules, and regulations.
You will develop and present briefing products for Leadership on program status, issues, and opportunities.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (or GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing or evaluating program operations (e.g., cost, schedule, performance, or processes) to develop and recommend improvement strategies for shipbuilding program.
