You will serve as a Workload Forecast Specialist in the Business & Strategic Planning Department (C1221) of PSNS and IMF. Salary Range: For the GS-09: $67,147 - 87,291 For the GS-11: $81,242 - 105,612

Duties

You will coordinate, compile, and review workload and workforce data for all shipyard direct and indirect work in preparing shop, code, department, and project workload forecasts. You will analyze and prepare project planning and execution resource data for Project Managers, Resource Managers, Shop Superintendents, Division Managers, Department Heads, other senior command management and various NAVSEA organizations. You will utilize Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to maintain and update data to prepare reports and formal documentation for use in Management reports and presentations. You will compile and analyze data to formulate clear and concise information to present results as written or oral recommendations to the supervisor for review.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing technical data from a wide variety of sources (e.g. automated programs, production metrics, software sources) to identify trends and develop reports or presentations for management. For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing technical data from a wide variety of sources (e.g. automated programs, production metrics, software sources) to identify trends and develop reports and presentations for management. Education

Administration/Management Substitution of Education GS-11

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify for the GS-11 Grade Level with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
