About the Position: Serves as a Plans Specialist for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Serves as the Deputy Chief Special Plans Division in the directorate.
Manages presentation, evaluation, coordination and justification of the Command and USSOCOM programs and resource requirements for CBRNE budget and POM submission
Performs as the Commands CBRN subject matter expert responsible for plans and policies that affect national security.
Develops, coordinates and implements all matters of CBRN counter-proliferation policy and doctrine as they pertain to the Command.
Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated and integrated into the facilities strategies, goals, objectives, and work plans.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information SCI access for the duration of employment.
- IAW change 3 to AR-600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, this position is subject to a pre-employment urinalysis screening, and random testing thereafter.
- This position may require Temporary Duty (TDY) 30 days or less travel to various locations approximately 30% of the time.
- This position is Deployable and is expected to travel OCONUS on a regular, rotating basis and/or on short notice. A physical is REQUIRED as a condition of employment prior to EOD and as needed, thereafter.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Immunizations are required for the deployed location.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supervising the development and coordination of plans and policies; developing and improving programs; and presenting briefings to various world and national leaders on sensitive national plans, policies and doctrine and how they relate to joint missions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
