About the Position: Serves as Brigade Point of Contact (POC) for Total Army Involvement in Recruiting (TAIR) program. Receives TAIR request from Recruiting Battalions for various events designed to encourage enlistment in the United States Army and Army Reserve.

Duties

Establish professional relationships with local media to gain coverage of Army Recruitment activities Manage program database systems to ensure appropriate updates occur. Develop multimedia stories that effectively communicate mission goals. Creating budget projections for multiple army public affairs programs (i.e., The Total Army Involvement Recruiting program). Utilize various media techniques for broad dissemination of information to intended targets. Edit news materials and speeches related to Army enlisted programs. Guarantee the production of advertising material by coordinating with Government Printing Offices and other media production offices. Coordinate organization participation in outreach programs to maximize attendance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes collaborating with media sources to obtain or publicize information; applying a variety of techniques (i.e., graphic design, photo manipulation, video editing, social media) to create or modify multimedia content; aiding in the production of events to increase awareness; and utilizing database systems to prepare reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications and MediaMultimedia TechnologiesOrganizational AwarenessPublic Affairs Policies and Procedures Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
