About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Forces Command, 1st Armored Division, Senior Commander Aug, G-2 Intelligence, Fort Bliss, TX 77916

Duties

Maintains the operational training schedule for all mission units utilizing the Project Foundry facility. Provides intelligence support to the Mission Commander and deploying units by developing Operations Orders, personnel and systems tracking, briefing products, and general Operations tasks. Coordinates training and MI systems equipping activities and operations in support of pre-deployment training for mission units. Provides sustained support in the areas of Military Intelligence (MI) operations, MI training, MI manning, MI new equipment training/fielding, and general intelligence support to subordinate units. Provides Anti-terrorism briefings and Area of Responsibility (AOR)-related threat briefings to Soldiers, DoD civilians, and contractors who travel outside the continental United States (OCONUS).

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required at 30% or less of the time.
  • May be subject to short notice recall during crisis situations and irregular work hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Overtime/shift work may be required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. Education

To substitute education for the required experience for the GG-11 grade level, applicant must have a closely related (CR) Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
