You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT) in the Human Resources Office of COMNAVREG SE JAX.

Duties

You will provide technical advice and assistance to CNIC managers and operations personnel in resolution of difficult staffing problems. You will brief managers on civilian human resources program policies (e.g., compensation, employee relations, performance management, work life, workforce development). You will advise hiring managers and selecting officials on recruitment strategies for attracting the best qualified candidates for vacant positions. You will advise customers on human resources regulations (e.g., Title 5, U.S. Code, Office of Personnel Management [OPM]). You will evaluate policies and programs to determine their impact on a human resources program. You will manage a human resources program (e.g., staffing and recruitment, classification, compensation) in accordance with federal policy.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying recruitment and placement laws, regulations, policies, and practices to solve recruitment and placement issues; 2) Collaborating with management officials to write position descriptions; 3) Providing advice to managers and personnel on the hiring process; and 4) Assessing organizational HR needs regarding succession planning, recruitment, and training.
