You will serve as an Acquisition Support Analyst with Marine Corps Logistics Command (MARCORLOGCOM)

Duties

You will work closely with the customer to perform acquisition planning by coordinating effective advance planning to meet program needs. You will assist customers with the completion of procurement documents required to initiate the acquisition, recommending acquisition strategies, You will assist customers with the completion of Justification and Approvals, Determination and Findings, Memos for the Record, Acquisition Strategies, Source Selection Plans and other contract related documents. You will verify all required information is obtained and accurate prior to submitting the requirement to the local or external contracting office. You will apply business and industry practices, procurement and contracting policies, and methods, cost relationships, characteristics, and use of services in work accomplishment. You will formulate and establish new and improved business procedures and techniques for contractual and other activities within the assigned area of responsibility. You will recommend and disseminate guidance on business and IT procurement techniques to be used.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: knowledge of Information Technology acquisition processes, acquisition strategies, requirements development, contracting practices, and resource management; Providing expert analysis, market research, and recommendations for acquisition/requirements development. Monitoring contractor performance, development and implantation of qualify assurance surveillance plans. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
