You will serve as a HUMAN PERFORMANCE DATA ANALYST in the Training and Education Command (TECOM) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will be able to accurately advise the HPC Director, Combat Instructors (CIs), SOI-W leadership, and higher headquarters on human performance data trends using appropriate visual representations supported by statistical analyses.
You will be a SME on entering, cleaning, and conducting basic data manipulation and analysis in respect to the physical training of Marines and the tactical environment.
You will prepare reports and presentations that accurately convey data trends and associated analysis.
You will Maintains expertise by reviewing, researching, and benchmarking emerging trends in data analytics, sports science, information gathering, human performance and combat fitness industries.
You will be responsible for infographic development, sustainment, information sharing guidance, and evaluation of standardized human performance data distribution.
You will develop, adopts, and implements data management strategies including workflows, data cleaning, data collating/merging, data visualization, and data analysis.
You will design and present human performance information focused on increasing Marine performance, resiliency, strength, agility, speed, and power to maximize physical capabilities.
You will provide data analytics and infographics that will inform course content review boards in support of individual training and readiness events
You will collaborate with Principal Investigators (PIs) to develop, manage and implement research projects related to human performance.
You will prepare and analyze statistical reports
You will develop hypotheses and experimental approaches to hypothesis testing; plans, designs, and conducts complex experiments.
Requirements

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the 09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: subject matter Expert on basic data entry and analysis, to extract, compile, analyze, and evaluate data in respect to the physical fitness standards of military personnel. Should have a working knowledge of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and/or Excel; Ability to build and disseminate databases and spreadsheets designed to record human performance programmatic data; Ability to establish relevance to the problems being evaluated at SOI(W) and report those findings to the Commanding Officer when needed.

Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the
U.S. Department of Education (external link) at the time the degree was obtained.
The following can be used to substitute for experience:
3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree
or
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
