Duties
Serve as the USARPAC Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS)/Readiness Officer with responsibility for reviewing, analyzing, coordinating, monitoring and providing interface with USPACOM staff, DA and Army component commanders.
Identify logistics problem areas through analysis and evaluation of reports and other related documents pertaining to APS stockage selection, computation of stockage levels and operational contingency stock development.
Prepare and/or coordinate preparation of periodic reports, staff studies, briefings and other various staff documents depicting the composition, status and readiness of theater APS stocks.
Maintain supporting files, records and current posture/readiness documents as the principal action officer for the mobilization APS program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random drug testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
- This position may require the incumbent to work other than normal duty hours.
- Initial one-year probationary period may be required.
