Duties
Serves as a Career Program Coordinator responsible for providing oversight of the DFAS Career Acclimation Program (DCAP) and DFAS Pathways Programs.
Provides authoritative guidance to various stakeholders (participants, supervisors, administrative/support staff, applicants, etc.) on the various program requirements and offerings.
Creates, coordinates and delivers training and professional career development activities to program participants. Maintains awareness of participants' progress towards program completion and provides status reports to stakeholders.
Attends recruiting events, in person or virtually.
Key contributor in managing the overall experience for our DFAS summer internship program.
Supports branding and marketing projects promoting DFAS and DoD as an employer of choice
Applies analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure and improve the effectiveness and/or organizational productivity of the DCAP and DFAS Pathways programs
Requirements

- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as administering professional career development, training or recruitment initiatives focusing on the business needs of an organization; recommending changes to administrative processes, procedures and workflows to improve program operations; and providing advisory services, technical guidance or program guideline recommendations to managers and/or program participants.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
