About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Logistics Directorate, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL, J4.

Duties

Troubleshoot, analyze and coordinate for critical repairs and maintenance. Records and track work and service orders. Manage, monitor, and coordinate the day-to-day building operations. Mange a variety of service functions for building operations, maintenance, repair and alteration programs covering a range of electrical and mechanical (HVAC) to existing buildings or renovation projects.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is required up to 10% of the time and may be to austere environments.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-11).
