About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Logistics Directorate, U. S. Southern Command, Key West, FL 33040, J4.
Duties
Serves as a Facility Manager and lead on facility management and Contracted Central Processing Facility (CPF) operations.
Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, procedures or methods requiring technical skill, training.
Experience to perform complex building maintenance and management assignments and developing new methods, approaches, or procedures to resolve a wide range of technical problems.
Performs duties as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), ensures qualification are maintained and submits all required reports completely, accurately and on time.
Submits requirements for budget estimates and administers funds appropriated annually for services, operations, maintenance, repairs, and construction.
Manages logistics requisitioning and reporting systems ensuring both forecasted and inventory needs.
Conducts Facilities planning to ensure optimal operations of JIATFS South facilities.
Makes decisions based on the interpretation of regulations and practices, and initiates actions which affect all JIATF South organizational units.
Makes authoritative decisions which have a direct impact on the availability and effectiveness of sensitive, state-of-the-art mission equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time and may be to austere environments.
- This is a Mission Essential position IAW JIATFS Contingency Plan.
