About the Position: Serves as a Plans Specialist GS-0301-14 for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC.

Duties

Develops, coordinates and implements all matters of CBRN policy and doctrine as they pertain to the Command. Ensure the alignment of the facilities strategies with organizational goals. Act as the Command’s CBRN subject matter expert responsible for plans and policies that affect national security. Serve as the point of contact for the CBRN plans, policies, agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU)s as they pertain to the Command. Serve as the CBRN training program manager with oversight, coordination and integration of training requirements accros the Command. Develop, sustain and improve CBRN training programs and exercise elements to meet mission requirements. Advise and counsel subordinate CBRN personnel. Supervise and oversee Command’s CBRN facility operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (SCI) security clearance
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter
  • Required to carry a mobile device and potentially serve on short notice recall
  • Must be able to go TDY on short notice, often times to an austere and hostile environment
  • TDY required is 30%.
  • This is a deployable position. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment deployable Physical Examination.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
