About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in a large multifunctional Field Level Maintenance (FLM) organization. Responsible for logistics and maintenance management systems, integrating supply, maintenance and logistical functions into a unified program as it relates to supporting the FLM mission.
Duties
Plan, assign, and direct work to be accomplished through subordinate supervisors, establish work priorities, and review work of assigned personnel while in progress and/or upon completion.
Serve as the Point of Contact on all logistical and maintenance operations involving TACOM/TRADOC Readiness Posture Reporting, Field Level Maintenance, and Class IX supply management operations.
Analyze directorate-wide logistics readiness posture in terms of equipment status, supply support capabilities, regulatory policy and guidance necessary to achieve the highest level of equipment readiness and/or availability.
Provide direct input on combat systems, tactical, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), communications and weapons maintenance sustainment and equipment modernization programs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) using logistics and supply automated systems to analyze, validate and track maintenance related equipment requirements; 2) identifying requirements for equipment, material, facilities, and/or support services needed to support the organization's programs; and 3) preparing the necessary statistics, qualitative and quantitative analysis to present findings, conclusions, and recommendations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
