About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Training Center and Fort Jackson, 165th Infantry Brigade, Fort Jackson, SC.
Duties
As a Training Technician (Office Automation/Motor Vehicle Operator), you will perform duties to include, but not limited to the following:
Serves as Digital Training Management System Trainer and Administrator for the Battalion.
Compose operation and training related correspondence in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
Serves as the Battalion Master Driver providing support to subordinate companies.
Convey ideas and facts to senior leaders to assist with productivity, quality management and organizational improvements.
Deliver information in a clear and concise manner using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling to senior leaders within and outside the organization.
Perform organizational mission functions and validate how its administrative and technological systems works and operates in accordance with regulatory procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state issued driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government driver's license to operate government vehicles, tactical (HMMWVs LMTVs) and non-tactical GSA vehicles.
- Must successfully graduate the Master Driver course instructed by the U.S. Army Transportation School within six months of hire.
- Required to be an approved and certified licensed examiner (Master Driver).
- Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required up to 5%.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning, coordinating and scheduling training courses; and utilizing various word processing and spreadsheet software to prepare reports, memorandums, and notes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Education, Adult Education, Business, or Business Administration/Management. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. NOTE: You MUST submit copies of ALL your transcripts.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
