About the Position: This is a PERMANENT position with the U.S. Army Training Center and Fort Jackson, 165th Infantry Brigade, Fort Jackson, SC. ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND OPM PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK".

Duties

Perform organizational mission functions and validate how its administrative and technological systems works and operates in accordance with regulatory procedures. Serves as Digital Training Management System Trainer and Administrator for the Battalion. Compose operation and training related correspondence in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines. Serves as the Battalion Master Driver providing support to subordinate companies. Convey ideas and facts to senior leaders to assist with productivity, quality management and organizational improvements. Deliver information in a clear and concise manner using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling to senior leaders within and outside the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state issued driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government driver's license to operate government vehicles, tactical (HMMWVs LMTVs) and non-tactical GSA vehicles.
  • Must successfully graduate the Master Driver course instructed by the U.S. Army Transportation School within six months of hire.
  • Required to be an approved and certified licensed examiner (Master Driver).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes independently overseeing or directing a training/education services program; performing liaison activities between military operations and the civilian community; knowledge of the training program's mission and objectives to perform assignments and resolve a wide range of issues using accepted practices; highly proficient in the use of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations, retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages TYPING PROFICIENCY: This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
