This position is a Budget Analyst within the Office of Assistant Administrator. The ideal candidate will conduct analyses of assigned disaster response financial programs with the branch focusing on innovative ways to improve program effectiveness and customer service, review and evaluate relationships between major agency administered program changes and the financial state of the assigned organizations and advise senior managers on the status of fiscal resources and future requirements.

In this Budget Analyst position, you will analyze and resolve complex issues related to financial aspects of assigned programs for the branch and provide recommendations for financial planning, policy formulation and implementation, and decision-making.

To qualify for this Budget Analyst position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
Coordinating with stakeholders to create projected budgeting plans (e.g., travel, training, facilities, etc.); and
Applying regulations, policies and/or requirements related to budget or financial analysis (such as federal regulations, private organizations etc.); and
Providing recommendations to stakeholders on budget and/or acquisition activities (such as cost drivers analysis, spend plans, budgetary analysis etc.)
