This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Communications and Public Liaison in Washington, D.C. This position is in the Office of Marketing and Customer Service and the incumbent serves as the top OCPL authority on visual and graphic design as it relates to publications, marketing collateral, Mac maintenance and servicing contracts, and production services.
Duties
Oversee creation and quality control of printed and digital/online visual products.
Ensure all products meet the 508 Compliant Accessibility Standard
Assist in the development and implementation of basic visualization guidance for internal and external offices.
Create plug and play templates for use by Agency officials and employees.
Provide expert advice on technical graphic design concepts and products.
Provide advice and assistance regarding RGB and CMYK conversions
Develop and implement plans to meet customer needs/expectations
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen.
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- This is not a drug testing designated position (TDP).
- This is a bargaining unit position with AFGE Local 228.
Qualifications
GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector that demonstrates mastery of current industry-standards by: 1) using Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Publisher to develop creative products, including fillable form templates, PowerPoint presentations, and infographics; and, 2) advising contractors, vendors, and employees regarding RGB and CMYK conversions to consistently meet established brand guidelines in visual products across all digital, print, social, and multimedia platforms.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled.
