Duties
You will install, configure, maintain operating systems components; and install updates and temporary fixes to existing programs.
You will install and validate systems software patches and fixes provided by vendors.
You will participate in the planning and delivery of a full range of customer support services to the organization; install configure, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software components.
You will receive, respond to and ensure complete resolution of any help center call; document actions taken; give needed guidance or training to customers to prevent recurrences.
You will maintain database operations; assist in returning disrupted database systems to normal operations; and create reports and manipulate date in response to customer requirements.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Non-sensitive security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain the foundational qualification within nine months and the residential qualification within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials.
- You will be required to participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03. An annual 20 hour minimum Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development will be required.
Qualifications
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing IT systems, identifying and resolving a wide variety of computer hardware and software malfunctions, and resolving customer support requests for an organization.

Education
In lieu of one year of specialized experience, the following education may be substituted to meet minimum qualifications:
master's degree or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree
