You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER within the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (N6)/PROGRAM MANAGEMENT OFFICE (N6P) of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.
Duties
You will analyze the cost, schedule, and performance data throughout a program to verify that the program is on track.
You will plan program execution strategies to overcome program challenges (e.g., mitigate cost, schedule, performance risks).
You will develop briefings for the delivery of program information to government leaders and key groups.
You will review and approve strategies for achieving short or long-range organizational program objectives.
You will convey policy and guidance for the development of cost effective shore facilities.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Review program requirements/requests utilizing an extensive knowledge of public safety programs (Force Protection, Fire & Emergency Services and Emergency Management) policy, procedures, and guidelines to present to the Director and staff; 2) Capture errors or inefficiencies in program management of public safety systems and/or provide alternatives that involve improved processes to create the most operationally effective enterprise solutions to meet critical life and safety FP, EM and Fire missions; 3) Assess the impact of new regulations and policies on Force Protection (FP) programs; and 4) Identify resource requirements necessary to accomplish approved objectives through applied statistical analysis and program inputs.
