About the Position: The pay band for this position, NH-4, is equivalent to GS-14 through GS-15. This position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to the GS-14, step 10 base salary.

Duties

Responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction including the development of long- and short-range plans. Represent the Command/Organization on high level committees and groups with the responsibility and authority to make decisions that influence resource allocations, and effect major changes to programs and goals. Responsible for understanding and actively supporting the Command's Affirmative Action/EEO Program, ensuring EEO principles are reflected in all aspects of personnel management. Plan and initiates a comprehensive evaluation system for the review and analysis of proposed costs, program development, and performance. Assess and provide strategic direction for resolution of mission-critical problems, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance during the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.
  • in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
  • In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • A one-year supervisory probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up 20% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a One - year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.
