About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, Office of the Chief of Staff, Continuous Process Improvement Office located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Principle advisor to the Department of the Army, Office of Business Transformation and Commanding General, United States Army Reserve Command on Army Reserve efforts to reengineer business processes to transform the Army.
Oversee the analysis of functional business processes and procedures to determine suitability of robotic process automation (RPA) solutions from ideation to robot deployment.
Design long term Lean Six Sigma deployment and other Continuous Process Improvement methodologies.
Determine enterprise metrics and establishes risk assessment framework to enable data-driven governance of process improvement.
Initiate implementation actions for initiatives to change organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, and processes.
Conduct analysis of CPI initiatives and is responsible for implementation of a standard LSS Deployment Management System (DMS) for the USARC and USAR subordinate elements.
Serve as the Business Process Reengineering representative with officials and groups from higher headquarters, subordinate activities, and external agencies regarding strategic approach to standardize business management processes.
Supervise and coordinate the work of assigned Continuous Process Improvement Office civilian, military, and contractor personnel.
Direct work priorities of USAR Master Black Belts, Black Belts, Green Belts, and contractor support by advising and managing assigned complex LSS projects and project portfolios.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification within 1 year of selection.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning new and diverse continuous improvement projects/taskers to accomplish short, mid-term, and long-range goals and objectives; developing Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement metrics; conducting Lean Six Sigma training; and planning, assigning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing work of assigned personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
