You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OA) in the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.
Duties
You will register vehicles aboard the installation and issue appropriate vehicle access passes.
You will be responsible for the screening of application and documentation presented for base long-term and temporary vehicle passes.
You will be responsible for recording traffic citation data in various databases and adjudicated traffic citations upon customer walk-in or telephonic contacts.
You will process contractors/vendors for local business/contractor base access passes, history of pass issuance to ensure that the individual is authorized short term access to the installation.
You will perform clerical and administrative duties in customer service and records management to ensure efficient office operations.
Requirements

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license; must be able to operate service issued equipment and vehicle.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- A qualified typist is required. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting with maintaining security files and records, assisting with administrative duties, performing clerical work AND providing customer service support.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-04: Have successfully completed 2 years of education above high school level.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience - percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience equal on hundred percent.
