You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OA) in the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.
Duties
You will prepare, track, maintain and file correspondence, records and documents required by policy. You will ensure record storage safeguards are in place and records are archived/destroyed and disseminated.
You will be responsible for the screening of application and documentation presented for base long-term and temporary vehicle passes.
You will be responsible for recording traffic citation data in various databases and adjudicated traffic citation upon customer walk-in or telephonic contacts, awarding the required number of points as identified in regulations.
You will perform duties that entail traffic citation processing, traffic court, incident complaint reporting (ICR) processing, and weapons registration.
You will be responsible for controlling, issuing, retrieving and maintaining accountability of PMO/MCPD supplies and equipment.
You will prepare, maintain and file the daily blotter and all relevant correspondence, records and documents, required by policy, governing the operation of the PMO/MCPD.
You will ensure record storage safeguards are in place and records are archived/destroyed and disseminated.
You will enter data provided into database and print reports; utilize approved systems and spreadsheets to enter and retrieve data.
You will visit jails, detention facilities and civil course to obtain information and documents pertaining to judicial proceedings involving military members.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You may be required to obtain specific qualifications and licenses to operate different types and sizes of vehicles when performing Motor Transportation Dispatch duties.
- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
Qualifications
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing clerical and administrative duties such as controlling, issuing, retrieving and maintaining accountability of PMO/MCPD supplies and equipment.
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing manual and clerical work related to the receipt, stocking, minor maintenance and repair, and issuance of various supplies, materials and equipment.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-5: Successfully completed four years of education above high school.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
