About the Position: XVIII ABN CORPS SENIOR CDR AUG Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Fort Bragg is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. TERM appointment NTE 4 June 2029

Duties

Participates in calculation, justification, and prioritization related to unfinanced requirements. Reviews estimates submitted for compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures. Performs in-depth, rigorous analysis of budget requests, such as cost-benefit analysis, program trade-offs, and exploring alternative methods of funding. Utilizes GFEBS, DTS and GCSS-Army to perform budget administration functions in the execution of an annual appropriated fund budget for a unit or activity. Works with assigned unit/actvity POCs to develop and formulate a budget for the coming fiscal year.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing day-to-day involving the formulation, execution and/or analysis of budget and funding requirements; 2) Experience in budget, presentation, and execution that included the application of budgeting and financial management regulations, policies, precedents ; 3) methods to formulate, justify and monitor budget activities; and the analysis and evaluation of financial and budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for budgetary actions . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study]. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
