About the Position: Serves as a staff-level Human Resources Specialist (Military) with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of military Human Resources (HR) programs.
Duties
Review all personnel actions to ensure proper maintenance of personnel data is contained.
Monitor personnel authorizations and staffing levels to determine program requirements.
Provide guidance to multiple organizational components on matters pertaining to military human resources.
Prepare military personnel documentation for decision makers within assigned organization.
Brief multiple organization components on information found during the analysis of assigned personnel program.
Conduct research to resolve various personnel management issues that arise.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- TDY may be required up to 10% of the time for this position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/ or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Providing personnel management guidance (i.e., strength management, personnel readiness, retention, separations) to multiple military human resource program areas; evaluating personnel actions for accuracy; preparing personnel management or strength management reports; and analyzing military personnel requirements to recommend appropriate courses of action. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
