About the Position: Serves as a staff-level Human Resources Specialist (Military) with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of military Human Resources (HR) programs.

Duties

Review all personnel actions to ensure proper maintenance of personnel data is contained. Monitor personnel authorizations and staffing levels to determine program requirements. Provide guidance to multiple organizational components on matters pertaining to military human resources. Prepare military personnel documentation for decision makers within assigned organization. Brief multiple organization components on information found during the analysis of assigned personnel program. Conduct research to resolve various personnel management issues that arise.

  • TDY may be required up to 10% of the time for this position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision MakingOral CommunicationPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
