Duties
Inform and engage designated audiences through communication products, training and messaging that strengthen the mission and vision and help achieve success of designated Agency-Priority-outcomes.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates programs, activities, systems, reports and processes in order to formulate guidance and recommend potential solutions to difficult problems and issues.
Develops and presents, both orally and in writing, recommendations for corrections of deficiencies and improvements in operations to operating officials.
Analyzes and evaluates review or examination findings and develops formalized reports to include recommendations and identification of suggested changes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
Interprets applicable guidelines and regulations to assist in implementation of approved/directed internal procedural changes to accomplish program objectives.
Performs analysis and makes recommendations for corrective or process improvement actions to foster increased efficiency and reductions in operations costs.
Plans and conducts studies to identify and initiate process changes which address/resolve procedural and systems deficiencies, and analyze cost and impact to risk areas.
Continually analyzes processes and develops goals, objectives, tools, and procedures for creating improved processes and products.

- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

- Please note, this is NOT a 100% virtual/remote position where work may be performed from any location in the US. This position is eligible for local telework near the duty station of the position, subject to management review and approval.
Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Providing analytical support on various projects and programs; conducting studies, analyses or reviews to determine program compliance and effectiveness/efficiency levels, identify program issues or develop recommendations for improvement.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
