About the Position: This position is located in the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building in downtown Manhattan just minutes from Wall Street, Chinatown, Little Italy and South of Houston (SOHO). Duties

Supervises professional and financial personnel to effectively manage human capital. Directs the accomplishment of current and budget year programming and reprogramming actions to ensure availability of resources. Organizes and leads conferences and meetings to discuss the status of budgeting and funding matters. Develops district-wide policies and procedures to reflect new or updated laws, rules, and regulation. Certifies that management actions comply with financial management policies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 15% of the time.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • You must obtain a Financial Management Level 2 certification within 2 years of being appointed to this position.
