About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W0V2AA US ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND. Serves as a Cyberspace (Cyber) Operations subject matter expert for the 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne).

Duties

Identify specific Cyber policy and training requirements necessary for maintaining operational readiness across the organization. Serve as a Cyberspace (Cyber) Operations subject matter expert to facilitate Cyber policy and Cyber training requirements. Prepare, resource, and conduct local modular Cyber training and assessments to optimize time and personnel available. Collaborate with cyber operations planners to identify, validate, and levy requirements for collection and analysis. Conduct strategic and operational effectiveness assessments as required for cyber events. Participate in targeting selection, validation, synchronization, and execution of cyber actions. Keep abreast of current Counterintelligence (CI) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Cyber developments, policies, processes, reporting and analysis to identify and prioritize training requirements.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency (NSA) facilities and networks.
• May require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 20% of the time.
