About the Position: This position is covered by the Science and Technology Laboratory Personnel Management Demonstration Project. This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Department of Public Works (DPW).
Duties
Provides facilities management support requiring expert knowledge of office skills, administrative procedures and management, and project management.
Applies extensive knowledge of ERDC policies, DPW directives and workflows to document methods and procedures to improve workflow and eliminate unnecessary tasks for efficient coordination
Assists in providing problem resolutions, developing creative solutions, and updating administrative policies and procedures for sensitive issues including work process actions, and time/attendance issues.
Performs duties as a Government Purchase Card holder and Contract Officer’s Representative.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program and is subject to pre-employment and random Drug Testing.
- Business travel may be 10% or less

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which is equivalent to at least the DJ-01 (GS-4), which includes: Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Planning and organizing work; and Communicating effectively orally and in writing. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service. (GS-04).

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).
