About the Position: As the Construction Superintendent, you will work under the general direction of the Chief of the Mat Sinking Unit. You will exercise independent judgment, action, and authority in planning and executing difficult and technical work programs in accordance with program outlines and objectives. NOTE: The duty location of this position will be wherever the Mat Sinking Unit is located.

Duties

Serves as the Assistant Chief of the Mat Sinking Unit with responsibility and authority for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the field activities of a large hired labor revetment construction operation. Plans, directs, and supervises annual work programs requiring multi-million dollar level of resources, including approximately 325 permanent, seasonal, and temporary trades, crafts, and administrative employees. Provides guidance to subordinate supervisors and establish guidelines on which their actions are based. Reviews and evaluates unit work accomplishments. Evaluates overall program effectiveness.
