About the Position: Serves as a Program Analyst within the Financial Management and Comptroller (FM&C)/G8, Office of The Surgeon General (OTSG) and U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM). Supports all financial policy development relevant to the Command's financial management mission.

Duties

Monitors utilization of the DOD-DA Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) as it affects Army medical readiness activities world-wide. Participates fully to ensure establishment of financial management policies, plans, programs, and objectives. Supports the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for FMC/G8 in the area of program planning, resource management, budget, and policy issues. Prepares and reviews documentation from Office of The Surgeon General/MEDCOM to ensure financial information correlates with program objectives and are in accordance with financial management regulations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 3 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial AnalysisFinancial ManagementOrganizational AwarenessTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
