About the Position: This position will serve as a Training Technician assigned to various organizations throughout the Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE) located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The incumbent of this position will serve as a point of contact for all questions concerning the Resident Individual Training Management System (RITMS), classroom assignments, training schedules, and transportation for Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Warrior Transition Course (WTC) classes.
Duties
Serve as the Resident Individual Training Management System (RITMS) Administrator for the battery which includes inputting training data,
maintaining the integrity of the system, and maintaining back up files.
Prepare the Battery weekly training schedule for Basic Combat Training and Warrior Transition Course classes.
Coordinate the publication and distribution of consolidated training schedules and prepare any changes required to published schedules.
Request sufficient transportation to and from training and field exercises based on familiarity with loading points, building and range areas, size
of classes, and special equipment needs which could result in unusual transportation requirements.
Serves as a central point of contact in the areas of RITMS, classroom assignments, training schedules, Final Graduation paperwork, and
transportation requests.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes the following: 1). Coordinate w/ the training specialist and/or instructor regarding the administrative aspects of management training activities that include facilitating logistical support for training, maintaining student records using an automated database, and preparing correspondence and reports; and 2). Maintain a training course schedule for an organization, adjust training schedules to meet an organization's needs, and coordinate travel arrangements using an automated travel database.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
