This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency (WHCA) at Bolling AFB, Washington D.C. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
Duties
Plans and assigns work to subordinate supervisors or to personnel who guide and control work. Work is conducted within Voice Systems Division.
Manages the Voice and Video operation and maintenance of the Presidential Information Technology Community’s (PITC) which includes Unclassified and Classified networks.
Evaluates, and translates new operational requirements into Voice engineered solutions.
Participates in the development and coordination of memoranda concerning implementation of DoD, Joint Staff or applicable WHCA maintenance policy.
Plans and coordinates project implementation, to include network engineering and installation, and schedules/coordinates authorized service interruptions that directly support the President, Vice President, the National Security Council, and others.
Ensures all emerging programs are technically compatible, employs proper security considerations, provides adequate functionality, and meets or exceed standards and guidelines for the security of telecommunications systems.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirement: Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies appropriate to, or above, the level of this position. For vacancies below the full-performance level of the position, the basic requirement will be evaluated on a developmental basis. Your resume and work experience should clearly support your ability to meet these competencies and will be evaluated as part of the entire application process.
Attention to Detail- experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.
Customer Service- developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs.
Oral Communication- briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
Problem Solving- identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: exercising technical and administrative functions for a team of telecommunications, IT, and maintenance specialists, and overseeing/managing contractor work.

Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), AND be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (Yankee White - Category II, minimum).

Education
