Duties

The incumbent of this position serves as a Supervisory Public Health Analyst performing very broad and extensive study assignments related to public health programs which are of significant interest to the public and Congress. The duties and responsibilities of this position include: Serves as a Senior leader and supports Director with strategic planning, developing public health policies, program planning, monitoring and evaluation, and implementation, of program priorities. Provides supervisory and managerial duties, including organization of work groups, determination and adjustment or program goals, policies, and objectives. Oversees work processes and collaborates with relevant stakeholders on policy development, including tracking of legislative processes. Provides leadership and oversight to a wide range of clinical services and public health analyses to improve program effectiveness and impact for children in ORR custody. Prepares or oversees the development of memoranda and briefings for senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders. Represents the Division Director in discussions with internal and external stakeholders concerning health and public health activities, as needed.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: GS-15: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (2) of the (3) duties listed below: Leading or overseeing diverse teams of medical and/or public health professions; Planning and/or developing public health policies, programs, strategic priorities related to delivery of health care, preventive medicine and public health surveillance and response; Developing or overseeing the development of policy, procedure manuals, operational priorities and outcome-based goals and objectives for an organization.
