Duties
You will serve as a Financial Technician in the Accounting/Billing Branch (N00FM4A), Comptroller, Financial Management Office (N00FM) at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic (NCTAMSLANT).
You will examine, verify, maintain, and reconcile accounts and accounting data, compile, and prepare reports for review and analysis.
You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintaining ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking, and arranging funding data.
You will retrieve, process, and track data via electronic and manual means form vendors and other resources.
You will confirm data is in standardized format acceptable for upload.
You will retrieve data from the division’s approved billing system to provide command activity monthly reports and to provide billing data for the processing of financial transactions.
You will retrieve, track, and resolve command activity inquiries via phone or electronic email boxes.
You will process incoming US mail, including vendor invoices.
You will execute funding documents for budgeted direct and reimbursable programs in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, including audit readiness.
You will accept, certify/validate invoices in Wide Area Work Flow.
You will perform obligation validation review on current and prior year execution.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:

-Experience making and verifying arithmetical computations
-Experience using Microsoft Excel or similar applications.
-Experience preparing budgetary reports through accounting systems.
-Experience making billing adjustments.
-Experience using good organizational skills and habits.

Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school.
