You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the Reserve Personnel, Navy (RPN) Budget Division, in the Force Comptroller Officer in the Headquarters of Commander of COMNAVRESFOR.

Duties

You will perform duties pertaining to account maintenance and accounting support work. You will examine financial documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government. You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will answer requests and provide advice to employees, supervisors, staff in other financial management series and personnel specialist on pay related rules, regulations, and procedures. You will maintain, correct and close pay accounts for active, reserve, or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintaining ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data.

• This is a Financial Management Level I Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines.

Qualifications

GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience examining and reconciling accounts and accounting data. Experience analyzing financial reports. Experience examining invoices, vouchers, and financial documents for accuracy. Experience extracting data from records to prepare financial reports. Experience with performing a variety of data searches through various systems such as DJMS-RC, STARS-FL, SABRS, etc. Experience reviewing Travel Advance reports to identify unliquidated advances.
