You will serve as a OFFICE AUTOMATION ASSISTANT in the MARINE CORPS COMMUNITY SERVICES, MARINE AND FAMILY PROGRAMS DEPARTMENT of MCAS CHERRY POINT.
Duties
You will perform a variety of tasks including telephone and receptionist duties, ascertaining nature of calls and/or business of visitors and determining appropriate action.
You will initiate, compose and type office memoranda, notices, letters, research files and directives or contacts staff of other commands to provide answers or information for various subjects.
You will maintain all files on Family Advocacy instructions and notices ensuring that adequate copies are on hand for distribution as needed.
You will act as the primary coordinator in providing administrative support for the Family Advocacy Program Manager and Family Advocacy Staff and establish and maintain all information on individual cases.
You will schedule and coordinate Behavioral Health related meetings, complete committee minutes, ensure reproduction and distribution maintaining files.
Requirements

- The incumbent must be able to successfully complete a seven year scope CNACI, a FBI Fingerprint check and a State Criminal History Repository Check (SCHRC) of all states of residence during the seven year period listed on employment forms.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing administrative and office support by receiving phone calls and visitors to the office, composing office documentation (i.e. letters, emails, memoranda, etc.) as well as maintaining and coordinating appointment schedules and meetings utilizing office automation equipment.
