You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Maritime Electro-Optic Product Support Branch of Electro-Optic Technology Division of Special Warfare&Expeditionary Systems Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equal to the GS-13&GS-14
Duties
You will be responsible for government leadership of the SPEIR Product Support Cross Product Team.
You will support the Product Support Sustainment Manager (PSSM) in the development and execution of the detailed product support strategy, preparation for fielding, policy implementation and product support outcomes for SPEIR program.
You will maintain oversight of product support deliverable evaluation, interacting with all relevant program working groups, and ensuring the on time delivery of all tasking assigned to the PS-CPT and supporting working groups.
You will evaluate/provide input to contractor/government developed models to analyze sparing solutions, supportability optimization, maintenance resource optimization, readiness based sparing, detailed product structure, cost, life cycle management.
You will ensure the transition of these models and all associated data to government managed life cycle product support processes.
You will prepare briefings identifying risks and provide courses of action to the Program Office for mitigation of supportability problems.
You will collaborate with IWS-2 Product Support Leadership to document and manage the product support package for the SPEIR system.
You will balance risks, conduct logistics investigations using models and integration tools as a decision aid, to propose possible engineering changes to the configuration and/or logistics management.
You will lead in the development and implementation of advanced processes that operate within the digital environment.
You will engage in intentional and consistent mentoring and development of team members.
You will be responsible for the cost, schedule and performance of product support for the SPEIR system.
You will write and review Statements of Work, prepare CDRLs, independent government cost estimates.
You will review Rough Order of Magnitudes, complete provisioning, create technical manuals, update / create programmatic documentation, create depot stand up strategy, and ILS certs to enable installation.
You will interact with the IWS-2 leadership, OEM technical leads, and fleet maintainers to ensure on time delivery of all product support products and associated documentation.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating and evaluating Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements to develop or adjust life-cycle logistics and acquisition phases for weapon systems.
