You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Electro-Optic Technology Division (JXQ), Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department (JX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $128,043).
Duties
You will serve as the Integrated Product Support (IPS) Lead, responsible for supporting the design, development, acquisition and sustainment of the Multi-Spectral Targeting Sensor (MTS) System for Special Projects.
You will be integral in development and coordinating of the execution of the product support strategy for acquisition and sustainment of the MTS System.
You will review Logistics Product Data, working with Data Analytics to run spares predictions to make data driven decisions.
You will develop detailed project plans, prepare cost estimates, and provide direct interface with sponsors.
You will Identify and analyze the impact(s) to supportability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost when implementing a change to a Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition program.
You will report status to include plan of action and milestones, risk mitigation, cost, and acquisition strategy.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Work generally takes place in an office environment and technical laboratory at various locations on Center and may involve occasional travel.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating and evaluating logistical requirements utilizing analytical, evaluative or problem-solving techniques, to include providing funding analysis in the planning and execution of acquisition phases for weapon systems.
