You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (SECTION MANAGER) of the MARITIME EO & TARGET/UNMANNED EO PRODUCT SUPPORT SECTION in the EO PRODUCT SUPPORT BRANCH of the ELECTRO-OPTIC (EO) TECHNOLOGY DIVISION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $128,043).
Duties
You will be responsible for the development of the workforce, effective execution of workload consistent with organizational initiatives and objectives, and for providing outstanding support and service to assigned customers.
You will plan, distribute, coordinate, and monitor work assignments of subordinates, in addition to evaluating work performance and providing feedback on their performance.
You will coordinate and integrate work that involves distinct areas of responsibility and that requires varying skills, knowledge, and abilities to execute the mission.
You will encourage and enable subordinate employees to develop leadership and management skills and experience by seeking their input before making key decisions.
You will formulate objectives and priorities and implements plans consistent with long-term interests of the organization in a global environment.
You will capitalize on opportunities and manages risks and contingencies, recognizing the implications for the organization and stakeholders
You will develop and implement long and short term planning for required funding, human resources, facilities and equipment.
You will develop and implement the organization's project and programmatic policies and procedures, and determine criteria for assessing effectiveness.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating and modifying Integrated Logistical Support (ILS) and product support requirements for maritime warfare systems to lead in the development and coordination of plans and schedules to reduce cost and improve readiness for systems life cycle.
