This position is located in Refugee, Asylum and International Operations, International & Refugee Affairs Division, within the Refugee and International Operations office. As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the operation and management of major programs of the Refugee Operations Unit field office, by leading teams of analysts to assess and enhance complex management and program processes and systems.

Duties

Leads a team of subordinate analysts within the RIO field office on a broad portfolio in the areas of performance, resource management, business operations, scheduling and utilization and programmatic technological enhancements. Serves as a consultant on broad projects and programs with potentially national impact. Determines the applicability and effect of new or proposed legislation, executive order and DHS directive and other organizational agency/decisions on respective headquarters and field office operations. Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring sophisticated management information systems that focus on long and short range plans.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 07/10/2024. GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Incorporate qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems. Conducting technical and administrative briefing to senior management officials, including summary presentations with conclusions, alternative sand recommendations ,on national policies, projects or studies. Review policies and procedures to determine the impact of operations or conduct evaluative studies to include strengths, weaknesses and best practices and making recommendations.
