You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) (OS) in the IT INFRASTRUCTURE AND OPERATIONS BRANCH of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.

Duties

You will serve as the hardware and software technical specialist responsible for the design, development, integration, and evaluation of the Cybersecurity posture for training and software systems. You will develop policies and procedures to ensure information system reliability and accessibility, and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data. You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs. You will review, implement and report on the Cyber Security (CS) status of the projects or labs in accordance with regulations and policies.

• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code System Administration, proficiency level 451 the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following related duties:1) Utilizing cybersecurity policies to harden and secure Operating Systems (OS) and operating system data; 2) Developing policy procedures for information technology deployment and Cybersecurity matters; 3) Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.
