This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Operations (DCO), CGCYBER Command, in Washington, DC.
Duties
This position serves as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information Security Team Leader, responsible for developing, promoting, and administering CGCYBER’s Information System Security Program and with developing and enforcing Information System (IS) security policies, monitoring Coast Guard data networks and Information Technology (IT) systems, and providing consulting and advisory services to CGCYBER Command staff, subordinate commands, Departments/Divisions/Branches, program/project managers, and users.

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-13 level, applicants should have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to the line of work.
Specialized experience includes the following: Applicant MUST meet ALL 3 conditions.
Utilizing information systems security protocols to ensure coordination and/or collaboration on security activities; AND
Coordinating projects that involve development, implementation, and enforcement of cyber security policies and standards; AND
Monitoring and evaluating systems compliance with IT security requirements.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, you must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.1. Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level II (FAC P/PM-11) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.2. Information Assurance Management Level III (IAM-III) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
